conference quote

i just read elder joseph b. wirthlin's talk from the priesthood session. i really liked this part:

"I urge you to examine your life. Determine where you are and what you need to do to be the kind of person you want to be. Create inspiring, noble, and righteous goals that fire your imagination and create excitement in your heart. And then keep your eye on them. Work consistently towards achieving them. "

i have a hard time getting past the dishes, laundry, mowing the lawn....etc. so this is motivating for me.

first of all--you're not REALLY mowing the lawn, are you? Aren't you, like, 6 months pregnant?
Secondly, that quote is so awesome-it goes along perfectly with some stuff that I've been pondering/studying a lot recently. Thanks for posting it; I think I need to go read that talk.

I really love that quote. Most of my thoughts lately, like spendlove, have been on this subject. I seem to be drawn to the subject of self-reflection and what it is I truly want.
Most people think going to France doesn't make any sense and is pretty stupid. The more logical thing would be to stay in Cedar for school but France seems more magical. I see myself and my family together more doing the things we love. Cedar and McD's isn't this way. Anyway...thanks for sharing, Katie.

i can't believe people think going to france is stupid. they must be boring people. i think you are lucky.
yes, i mow the lawn. it wouldn't be a big deal--well, its not a big deal but may become one...our lot is 1/3 acre pretty much all grass. most people with this size lawn have riding mowers. i had the brilliant idea to get one that isn't even self-propelled as to provide better exercise. it takes at least 2 hours to mow. i don't mind it but its getting hot. and dan isn't really into it so he would just hire it out. (waste of money). we'll see how long i last. i feel so huge.
how's your belly lacey? any progress on name deciding?

What kinds of new things have been facinating to you guys lately? I love that people are pationate about something. Specialy if it's somethign like cheese.
Speaking of bellys... Abe told me today that my belly is farther out than Daddy's but that it's going back in. Then he kept trying to describe it to me saying that my back is farther away from my belly than dady's back is from his belly. So he wanted me to know I'm bigger from the front view and the side view. Maybe this should make me passionate about excercising.

Come to think of it ALL the people that think France is stupid are boring people. The kind of people that give up a lot of really fun things because they get married or have children.
We had a push mower until last summer. Only because it was a hand me down mower. Last summer we purchased our very own new-to-us mower. Mowing is such a pleasure now (when I can get it started). I like to make cool shapes in the lawn. Katie, try mowing in a circle. I swear it's faster.

Danika, Abe is only pointing out that the sway in your back is more concave then Matt's back. I think he's brilliant and observant.
